Ready for Some Fun?

St. Peder's bakery
Whenever I go to a new country, or state for that matter, I am very interested in the nightlife and the food. I love to have fun and I think there is almost no better way to get to know locals than to go out with them. Food is also very high on my list because I like to eat...and food can make or break an experience.  Luckily, Denmark had more to offer than I thought in both areas.  The food was great, and the nightlife was even better.  Here are some of my favorite places to eat, grab a cup of coffee, and to dance allll night.

SHAWARMA

So yall I love Shawarma so much that I had to bold and capitalize it.  Whew.  You can really get this in the states but it is on EVERY corner and just sooo good.  Omgosh. My mouth is watering again.

Halifax

  • THE most amazing burgers I had during my stay and reasonably priced.
Grillen
  • Located in Nørrebro, this place also has awesome burgers and an even awesome-er lunch special.
Kødbyens Fiskebar
  • More on the expensive side, but very good seafood. Located in the Meatpacking D
    istrict.
Bagel Me

  • Who knew bagel sandwiches were really a thing, and such a good thing?
Mother
  • Great pizza, also located in the Meatpacking District.
The Living Room
  • Great Place for coffee and to relax...and nap in between classes.
St. Peders Bakery
  • 10kr cinnamon rolls on Wednesdays and the best pastries ever all of the time.
Grød
  • Porridge is pretty popular in Denmark and this place does it well.  Great for trying out authentic Danish cuisine.
Noma
  • Noma has been voted the best restaurant in the world for a couple years now.  If you can land a reservation, it's worth a trip.

Hot Dogs
  • There are hot dog stands all around the city (the one next to the Round Tower is supposedly the best), and make sure you get fried onions on yours!
Flødeboller
  • Forever & Always. <3

Nightlife

Some of the best clubs I went to were,

  • HIVE
  • KB3
  • JUPITER
  • RUST
  • JOLENE
...and some of the best cocktails were at

  • Butchers
  • Zefside
  • Kassen
*all of these bars have great happy hour specials.*

Last but not least...

CHRISTIANIA

The free town.  Great vibes and great people.  You can go during the day and shop, walk around and take in the beautiful area or stop by at night and enjoy a cool concert.  It's a super cool place and really worth a visit!

Don't have too much fun!
